For over one hundred years, the Holy Cross community has educated children on the Eastside of Indianapolis. In 1974, Holy Cross Central was founded through the merger of Holy Cross, St. Mary's, St. John the Evangelist, and SS. Peter & Paul school communities. Holy Cross Central has provided a faith-filled and academically rigorous experience that forms both the mind and the heart. Our faculty and staff members work together with our hundreds of students from grades K-8 and their families to create a vibrant and thriving community.
Holy Cross Central provides its students with a rigorous curriculum that is a balance of academics, religion, and special subjects—such as music, art, and physical education..
Students graduate as 8th graders with a broad knowledge base that serves them well throughout their lives. Our goals for all students are College and Heaven.
This year, our school is doing the NWEA MAP Testing in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. This will measure your student's academic progress in comparison to their own growth and national norms. For more information about MAP, please read the MAP Parent Handbook.
In addition to forming the hearts and minds of our students, Holy Cross Central offers a variety of athletic programs. Our offerings include: Boys and Girls Cross Country (Fall), Boys Football (Fall), Boys and Girls Basketball (Fall/Winter), Girls and Boys Volleyball (Fall/Winter), Girls Kickball (Fall & Spring), Boys Wrestling (Winter), Coed Soccer (Spring). Available sporting events are through both CYO athletics as well as intramural sports.
